Lots to share
Yes, I took last week off as well. It’s been rough around our house lately given that my husband, after taking a chance and moving on to a new place in his career path now finds himself… unemployed. Although times are uncertain for us, we will be okay and he (and we) will persevere.
With that somber news out of the way, I’ve got lots to share from the last two weeks.
I am now on retainer with arely PR, which was something I mentioned might happen right here on the blog. Well, I took the leap and asked and she said yes! I’m excited for this new work and definitely for the new stream of income.
And I want to also share links to my recent articles from Biscayne Times and Artburst Miami.
I mentioned writing about Barney Mayrsohn in my last post and here’s the heartwarming story of this 98-year-old veteran who is a resident of Quayside condominium. Click here to read the story.
And in that same issue was published my profile on small business owner Ralph Pichardo and his Found Sound Records. Click here for the story.
And just yesterday, my latest arts profile for the Artburst Miami blog on MOCA’s new curator Adeze Wilford was published, click here to read the article. She has a phenomenal story and is a welcome asset to the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami team.
I was busy this week working on an article about the Art of Banksy exhibit at Ice Palace Studios which will publish in Biscayne Times in March and just today completed an in-depth article looking at the revitalization of Fort Lauderdale’s historic Sistrunk Corridor. That will be published in MIA Magazine. I’ll of course share those when they publish as well.
And one major highlight from this Tuesday, getting to see the play “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” the story of The Temptations, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts with my husband Vance. I was invited to see the play and we had phenomenal seats. What an amazing production!
Hope you enjoy hearing about what I’m working on and reading my articles. Let me know what you think of them and if you learned something new and interesting after doing so. Would love your feedback!
Have a wonderful weekend and upcoming week. See ya next Friday.
