Hermit status…sort of

That headline is an exaggeration. I’m definitely not a hermit but…

I really have no desire to attend crowded events or…

Be back on the restaurant/event merry go round I was once on.

Lately I spend my days alerting PR people that I’m just not interested. Letting them know what I’m writing about nowadays is mainly articles assigned by my Editors. It’s wonderful because I’ve always hated pitching stories.

I’m happy to just be home, cook, tend to the house and tweak things here and there. I’ve come to enjoy rearranging items around the house to give them a fresh look.

Recently I updated all of the art in our bedroom and now our walls are adorned with works by local artists along with one thrift store find. It feels so refreshing.

I really look forward to Thursdays (which I wrote about a few weeks ago) when I spend the day cooking and delivering food. It’s exhausting but I really like it. Filling the Fridges is tiring because it’s so hot and it requires carrying heavy boxes but I’ve met some really nice people doing it. I plan to write a full blog post about the couple from Be The Change South Florida who I help distributing the food.

I recently was hired to do a major catering job which I’m a bit nervous about because it’s a big commitment. But I’m looking forward to the challenge and am secretly praying I don’t fall flat on my face and fail miserably.

That’s it for this week. I’m looking forward to driving out to Miami Beach tomorrow to deliver food and some groceries to my adopted family and attending the Marlins game on Sunday.

Until next week, be well, stay safe and much health to you and yours.
