Fall fun, family and food
You know by now I’m always going to be mentioning food in this blog and although this week I had to skip lunch with Monica on Thursday, my husband Vance and I did manage another date night last Saturday night.
We had an amazing meal at Casa Mia Trattoria including a serving of Tagliatelle al Ragu. The pasta was homemade and the ragu thick, rich and decadent. We split the portion and had enough the next day to split the leftovers for lunch. I enjoyed a lovely glass of prosecco too. We really enjoyed it and are looking forward to returning.
This week also was my great niece Isabelle’s 15th birthday which means, she got her learner’s permit! Happy birthday and congrats to her!
And my great nephew Mazen did a heckuva job rounding the bases in a Little League game this week. Go Mazen go!
That’s pretty much it for this week but coming up this weekend I’m going to be…
Watching my son Nicholas compete in flag football skills for Special Olympics and if he places he’ll be headed to Orlando. His competition is tomorrow.
Then tomorrow night, after another quick stop by the Bird Road Arts District to visit my friends Jean and Iggy Font at their studio, I’ll be heading to the Westchester Cultural Arts Center to see the musical group Cortadito perform traditional Cuban music. Click on the link if you want tickets.
Sunday, I’ll be home, recuperating from Saturday and cheering on the Miami Dolphins who play the Minnesota Vikings right here at Hard Rock Stadium.
No articles to share this week but I did want to encourage you to visit the website South Florida on the Cheap. I’m a contributor and we’ve got some great fall events listed, including pumpkin patches and fall festivals. Click on the link above and poke around, there are some great deals and discounts too.
I’m looking forward next week to letting you know how Nick did, how Cortadito was and hopefully sharing an article of mine too!
Here’s one beautiful parting shot of the sky.
Until then, have a beautiful weekend and week. Be well.
