Easter, movies, lizards & a mustang

Easter Sunday was so glorious. Our entire family was able to finally gather together and there was lots and lots of food, an egg hunt, cookie decorating and lots of laughter and fun.

After family time, my daughter Elizabeth and I went to see “Everything Everywhere All The Time,” an Oscar-nominated film by the indieish A24 film studio. It was a wild ride! Touching, emotional, weird, thought-provoking and definitely a tearjerker. The most interesting depiction of a mother/daughter relationship I’ve ever seen.

I mentioned lizards in my headline because I discovered that lizards are not as common in other parts of the country as they are in Miami. I had no idea! I read somewhere (can’t remember where I’ll be honest) about someone who recently moved here and was amazed at the amount of lizards we’ve got in Miami. I swear sometimes they’re all congregating in my yard.

This week, I spotted another cool classic Mustang except this one was olive green. Couldn’t snap a shot because I was driving but it was just like the red one I shared a photo of in this blog last week.

I have to mention a few family members again this week.

“The Swirly Tree,” by first grader, my great nephew Ramzi Charara.

First, my great nephew Ramzi (you saw him a few weeks ago right here in his Jiu Jitsu get up), whose artwork was chosen in the Brevard County School Board Art Show. He’s in first grade and I’m seriously impressed with his talent!

Then, my son Nicholas was shown on the jumbotron at the Marlins game this past Saturday night not once but twice! Click here to check him out on my Facebook page.

And finally, I have to give a shoutout and a big thanks to Manny from Trader Joe’s. He tightened the screws for my trunk latch so good that it’s finally fixed! No more slamming down my trunk. Thanks Manny!

As always, I like to share my published articles right here for you all to read. Here’s one on the All Kids Included Festival which I wrote for Artburst Miami and my latest for the Camillus House website on one of their clients. Both very different but two I’m very proud of and hope you’ll take a look at.

That’s all for this week, until next Friday, be well and always be grateful!
