Classic cars, walks, dance & bites

This past week was filled with…

Plenty of long walks through Biscayne Park where on one of them I spotted a beautiful classic red Mustang with black convertible top and also got drenched (today, on Good Friday). The rain felt good though, I almost welcomed it.

Great food including an impromptu lunch at Tacos vs. Burritos on 79th St. Went there for lunch with my husband Vance after we tried going to Shucker’s, a great waterfront spot we like that unfortunately was closed due to loss of power. Instead, we had a great Mexican meal at a new spot we’ll definitely be visiting again. I didn’t snap any photos but click on the link above and once you see their menu I’m sure you’ll want to check it out.

Dance Now! Miami dancers leaping at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden performance.

Susie Taylor reciting poetry in her glorious floppy hat!

South Beach Chamber Ensemble accompanied the dancers with their melodic and soothing music.

A nice outing with my best friend Monica to watch the Dance Now! Miami contemporary troupe perform at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden. The dance vignettes were performed in different spots around the garden, each accompanied by poetry recited by local actress Susie Taylor and music by the South Beach Chamber Ensemble. That was followed by a delectable French meal at the quaint A la Foile Cafe on Española Way. The quirky French owner was a hoot and the atmosphere was delightful as was the food! Again, click the link above and check it out.

Picture’s a bit grainy but that’s Chase on the recorder!

And finally, I have to share one last adorable photo. It’s of my great nephew Chase (my nephew Chris’ son) playing the recorder.

That’s all for this week. More to come into your inbox next Friday. Have a wonderful weekend!
