Pink Pie packs mega flavor into their mini pies

At Pink Pie in Wynwood, they're packing a ton of flavor into a multitude of pies, both sweet and savory. The combinations are ideal and the daily changing savory selection is always a welcome surprise. Actually, all the pie flavors change so frequently, they encourage foodies to check their Instagram account for that week's flavors.

That said, I've gotten to sample several varieties because, I'll admit, after my first time there for the Grand Opening, I haven't been able to stay away. (I've been there at least four times in the last month!)

At the Grand Opening is where I got to meet husband and wife founders Michael McGowan and Paloma Machado-McGowan, both classically trained chefs with Michelin star experience. That experience certainly shows not only in their unique mini pie idea but in the execution of those pies and their unique flavor combinations.

I haven't tried them all but the ones I've had, like tiramisu, pistachio, caramel pretzel, coconut dulce de leche, birthday cake and the always available oreo nutella, are all creamy, dreamy and delectable. The key lime pie looks amazing too, with a perfectly caramelized meringue topping. They are all seriously perfect mini reproductions of their larger counterparts.

And I love their decor too, a cute pink logo, fun neon signs and boxes stacked on shelves ready to be filled with to go orders.

What's cool too is that besides their Wynwood location, you can also find them every week on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hollywood's Yellow Green Farmer's Markets.
