Learn all you’ve ever wanted to know about 3D printing at the hipster spot LMNT during their happy hour event and take advantage and visit as many museums as possible this weekend since many of them are offering free admission.

If galleries are more your thing do the ArtCenter South Florida Studio Crawl on Miami Beach and chat up artists in their studios or trolley hop through the Gables during their monthly Gallery Night. Both are on Friday night.

3D Printing workshop and happy hour at LMNTMiami’s connection to the evolution of 3D printing and its influence on photography, design, art and fashion can all be traced back to 3D printing pioneer and engineer Werner Blumenthal. On Friday from 6-9 p.m. he’ll be giving a Ted-type inspirational talk at 7 p.m. and the rest of the time you’ll sip on happy hour priced drinks and do 3D printed selfies via 3D body scans. RSVP is required. Admission is free before 8 p.m. and $5 after with RSVP.

First weekend art walks around MiamiThe Coral Gables Gallery night on Friday from 6-10 p.m. is best seen by hopping on and off the trolley. The South Florida Art Center Art Crawl on Saturday from 7-10 p.m. requires entering just a few buildings along Lincoln Road. However, if you prefer to stay in one building, head to downtown’s McCormick Place on Friday from 6-11 p.m. where virtually every floor features a gallery or fine art studio.

Free Museums for Bank of America cardholdersIt’s a free-for-all the first weekend of the month with museums around town opening their doors free to Bank of America cardholders. That means you can visit the Perez Art Museum Miami on Biscayne Bay, the Miami Children’s Museum along MacArthur Causeway, the Bass Museum of Art on Miami Beach or head to Broward and visit the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale or the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Discovery and Science, both downtown.

Jungle Island free for kidsParents get a break on admission to Jungle Island throughout September for their kids 10 and younger during the Kids FREE promotion. All that’s required is proof of South Florida residency. This Saturday and Sunday, kids can make ice volcanoes, do cool science experiments, make homemade slime and take home a photo from the Mad Science photo spot. On Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. they can make boxtrolls from discarded boxes and other items and compete for prizes in the Boxtroll and Imagination Foundation Boxtroll Challenge.

Suntrust Sunday Jazz BruchThe view along the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk is picturesque enough, and adding smooth jazz sounds to the view makes the Suntrust Sunday Jazz Brunch the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featured performers are Meshelle & Company at the Esplanade, the Joey Gilmore Band on the C. Hoffman Gazebo Stage and Sound of Vision at the Peck Courtyard. Bring a blanket and a picnic or buy lunch from one of the area restaurants.
