Yes, I am a Food Truck junkie
Everytime there's news about the food truck craze around Miami I check it out for fear that they'll go away, disappear forever. I've been a fanatic of food trucks for a while now and I freak everytime I see or hear about issues regarding them.Things like requiring permits, which I understand but it seems like they impose additional ones on them. I also don't like to hear that restaurants around the neighborhoods where the trucks congregate aren't welcoming them, saying it's taking business away. Can't they all co-exist peacefully? After all, the trucks switch locations so frequently, how much business could the trucks really be stealing?Anyways, it seems like the trucks are safe for now and I cannot get enough of them! It always saddens me when Tuesdays roll around and I can't trek over to BTTR (Biscayne Triangle Truck Roundup) which is about oh...five minutes from my house by North Miami's Johnson & Wales University Campus.I crave my Gastropod short rib sliders, they literally melt in your mouth, seriously, hardly no chewing is required. And their lamb sliders with salty feta are unbelievable too, I just discovered these a few weeks ago. I'm truly torn now.And who could live without a delicious Minuta fish sandwich from the Fishbox, the pork buns from Miso Hungry, fish tacos from Jefe's or the delicious, juicy burgers from Latin Burger. How could a Cuban girl not like a burger that has chorizo?Oh goodness, I could talk about this all day. It's a never-ending journey with these heavenly four-wheel gourmet moveable feasts and for that I'm ecstatic. My brother visited the last time I went to BTTR and he was hooked, said he'd be there every Tuesday spending his money on something different each week until he'd tried it all. Hey, that's MY mission, no wonder we're related.
