Weird, lazy, hermit phase continues

Just as my headline implies. My weird, lazy, hermit phase continues.

Don’t really want to go out. Want to be home all the time and probably because I love our home. It’s cozy and feels like a warm hug.

Maybe I’m craving that homey, loving environment because of the bombardment of continual bad news in our country and around the world. I’m not even going to elaborate on any of that, for fear that I will contribute to said bombardment.

I was also sad to hear that after writing an article I was very proud of, the program that was the article’s focus has been put on hiatus. It stung even more given that it’s the weekly script reading workshop I’ve been attending for several years now.

But there is a bit of a silver lining…

I’m currently working on some fun articles for a brand new publication. I was honored to be approached by a very well-respected local journalist who has been named Editor of said publication. Been working on the interviews and am looking forward to putting the articles together.

Excited too for my kids Nicholas and Elizabeth. Nick is gearing up to begin his Special Olympics softball competitions again and that’s exciting. And Elizabeth is working hard at school and very motivated to once again pick up her internship at a local gallery. The future looks bright for her and this senior year is presenting all sorts of exciting opportunities for her.

Am also looking forward to finally enjoying brunch with my husband this weekend at Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Red Rooster in Overtown. The buzz at that place doesn’t quit and I can’t wait.

That’s it for this week. See you next Friday.

As always, be well, stay safe and spread some love, something we can all easily do.

Thanks for reading!
