Noticing the little things

A while back, actually a LONG while back, I remember being so touched by something I witnessed. It was just a simple thing. A father dropping off his toddler at school and giving her a warm hug and kiss goodbye. Then this morning, I was again touched when on my bike ride, I encountered two dads, strolling their infants through the tree-lined streets of my nearby neighborhood of Biscayne Park. The cutest thing, one of them even had a mini fan attached to the stroller to keep the child cool. It was such a wonderful sight to see these guys taking time to stroll their children around.Taking stock in these small moments of life is something I've been trying to do in the last year or so. Just noticing loving acts like these. It made a normal, mundane Thursday special and something I'll remember for a long time.
