It’s only been four days

So it’s been pretty quiet since I was in your inbox on Monday but I’ve still got some stuff to tell you.

Ran across this photo from Cuba while cleaning on Monday. That's my Dad third from the right and the rest of the Miramar Yacht Club swim team.

Vance and I enjoyed a lovely time at the beach on Monday late afternoon after a full day of cleaning, organizing and purging. While enjoying the beach, we were warmly greeted by the chair and umbrella guy on the Surfside beach at 95 St. which we’ve been going to for more than 15 years. It was a nice way to cap off a fun and productive weekend.

Turns out Joel is a former student of Gerry Couzo, a teacher at Coral Gables High. Gerry is also my nephew Danny's best friend and high school buddy from Miami High.

Other than that, I did food rescue from Trader Joe’s on Wednesday morning and luckily the young man Joel pictured above helped me load my car. At night we just went to trivia on where we came in third place. Vance and I did pretty good on our own without The Wutzlers and we enjoyed the chicken fajitas which we split between the two of us. They were very good.

I’ve been glued to the television watching the US Open Tennis Tournament and will be watching the finals this weekend for sure.

Tomorrow morning Vance, Nick and I are going to our church to volunteer and help do some cleaning and organizing. Tomorrow night, while Vance and Nick are at the ‘Canes game I’m going to an opening reception at Edge Zones in Allapattah. I mentioned them in this blog last week.

Sunday, I’m looking forward to getting Nick ready for the wedding of his high school Best Buddy Andrew Marcus. Nick’ll be wearing black tie so I’ll make sure to take a picture of him and post it in this blog next week.

Halloween stuff at Home Depot. It's only September people!

And it seems as though Halloween has already arrived at Home Depot, just look at the picture above.

That’s all for this week. Until next Friday!
