Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Here’s wishing you lots of Irish luck today and every day! Hope you remembered to wear green!
Now here’s the rundown from this past week…
Saturday night I enjoyed a long overdue dinner with great friends Janet, Betty and Madelyn. We had a fabulous meal at Luca Osteria on Giralda Ave. in Coral Gables. It was a night of great conversation, delectable pasta and genuine girl time bonding. More of those please!
Sunday was a day to relax and spend a nice afternoon at Greynolds Park, one of my favorites near my neighborhood. I hadn’t been there in a while and that’s a shame, I’ll definitely be fixing that problem. I used to be a regular there walking through their nature trails and taking in the water views.
Last night I saw one of the best plays I’ve ever seen, the musical “Next to Normal.” The voices, the sets, the dialogue. I can see why it won several Tony Awards and the Pulitzer Prize. It’s showing at the Adrienne Arsht Center through April 9. If you go, bring the tissues. I also wrote about it for Biscayne Times and will share the like once the story is published.
I also had a great pizza from Ash pizza at The Citadel Food Hall in Little River. The sauce was the kicker, a special blend they make themselves with Calabrian chilis.
Then today I decided to step out for a long lunch. It was such a crazy, hectic week with lots of deadlines so I decided to hit Flanigan’s for St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered my favorite, the fish dip, with a side of dirty rice and treated myself to a green beer!
And lastly I leave you with this… for those Miami readers wanted to let you know that the Dade County Youth Fair kicked off yesterday. If you plan to go and want to find all the best deals we’ve got you covered on South Florida on the Cheap. Click here to read the post.
That’s all for this week, see ya next Friday!
