Fun time at Pineapples & Pizza at Matador Bar

You don't have to ask me twice if I'd like to go to the Miami Beach Edition Hotel, it's stunning and I love how they've maintained the original feel of the place.

Also, the Matador Bar is a cool spot to hang out, especially during their monthly Pineapples & Pizza happy hour with live music. Lounging across from the bar on their comfy bench seating and candlelit tables is the ideal spot to enjoy personalized pizzas and specialty cocktails.

I recently was finally able to check out the event and it was great. They were launching the debut of the hotel's new craft beer, the Iguanita from Biscayne Bay Brewing, a crispy and easy drinking lager. The brew, which blends classic German flavor with light fruity and floral notes, tasted great with the evening's off-menu sausage and kale pizza. That pairing is $25 and if you prefer to pair the pizza with their signature pineapple cocktail it's $35. The Pineapple is made of Elyx vodka, Oloroso sherry, salted caramel syrup, Elemakule bitters, pineapple, lemon & rosemary and served in an elegant copper pineapple.
