Coyo Taco's now on Giralda Plaza & it's got a secret back room too
The Coyo Taco expansion continues with a new location on Giralda Plaza in Coral Gables. Easy to spot thanks to their recognizable blue namesake sign, the interior has that Coyo vibe but amped up a bit.
Love the string lights hanging from the ceiling and ample seating area. As with the other Coyos it's an open kitchen where you walk up and order your faves. The recent friends and family preview night was fun with margaritas flowing, tacos and all the goods in full force and mariachis serenading the crowd.
They served up their delicious guacamole and a nice abundance of tacos. We had the fried grouper, Modelo beer battered Florida grouper topped with roasted jalapeno aioli and avocado and carne asada tacos with char-grilled certified angus skirt steak, pico de gallo, chipotle and queso.
Capping off a wonderful grand opening...being serenaded by mariachis.
And as I mentioned earlier, don't miss that secret back room, it's a beautiful bar with 50 or so Mezcals and Tequilas. Plenty of cocktailing and great music awaits you there.
