A toast to 2023

It’s been a couple of crazy, hectic, scary weeks. It started with a hospital scare for my husband beginning Dec. 27 and ending Dec. 31, a scary, tense hospital stay. Luckily he’s home and on the mend but he’s definitely making some changes for 2023.

New Year’s Eve was spent at home with a quiet midnight toast and me eating a big bowl of pasta.

Christmas and Christmas Eve were wonderful, our house was filled with family members. It was a crazy two days but so memorable. Time spent eating, laughing and playing games. Festive and oh so fun.

I decided to challenge myself and post either a daily sunrise/sunset photo or a photo of the ocean for 2023. I’m up to day 6 and still going strong, one of them already was used in The New Tropic newsletter.

Been busy this week, working on plenty of articles for pretty much all the outlets I contribute to. Finished one up today that I was very happy with. I’ll share when it’s published.

Now here are this week’s photos:

Captured this beauty at The Falls, this was the one used in The New Tropic newsletter.

This one’s from a recent walk in the neighborhood

Got this great book from my sister-in-law Kerri for Christmas.

Took one last look at the lights at Enchanted Place in North Miami. Tonight was the last night.

That’s all for this week, see you next week, thanks for reading and here’s to a wonderful, peaceful 2023!
