Rosé Thursdays are a thing at Traymore by Michael Schwartz

What could be better than sipping rosé on a hot summer afternoon? Drinking it on the terrace and garden at Traymore by Michael Schwartz located in the COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach.

For Rosé Thursdays which run through October, the Bodvár Rosé No. 1 and 5 are both nice light wines and sold by both the glass ($10 and $12 respectively) or by the bottle ($40 and $45 respectively).

They also pair very nicely with specialty menu items by COMO's Executive Chef Jorge Negron.

Here are a few excellent choices from the varied menu.

The compressed watermelon and heirloom tomato salad which is topped with a trio of fresh herbs (cilantro, mint and basil), marinated crumbled tofu and tossed in a charred ancho and fermented Thai chile vinaigrette. It's refreshing with deep richness from the charred ancho and fermented Thai chiles.

Also try the Florida citrus salad, a combination of grapefruit, orange, lemon and lime tossed with baby beets and the aforementioned trio of herbs, topped with crunchy seeds (pumpkin, sunflower and sesame) and a variety of sprouts. Crunchy, citrusy and herbaceous.

Ceviche is so popular nowadays and is the perfect cold dish to pair with Rosé. Here it's made with Florida grouper that's diced and tossed in a fermented chile vinaigrette with sliced mango, onions and cilantro.

Coconut marinated and grilled chicken satays are tender, juicy and basted with a Thai peanut sauce, served over a bed of sprout salad. This is a nice appetizer sized portion.

For a shareable dish, try the Asian style clam bake with steam buns. It features all the traditional clam bake ingredients like crawfish, Maine blue mussels, Florida clams, Key West pink shrimp, potatoes and Florida corn tossed in butter and Asian spices and served with two pillowy soft steam buns. It's New England clam bake with an Asian twist and it works.

Keep the seafood theme going with a plate of fresh oysters on the half shell with yuzu mignonette.

Now tell me, after all that, you're not picturing yourself holding a glass wine while working your way through these fantastic dishes and admiring the beautiful garden view.
