Lovely afternoon with Tibetan Monks at the Coral Springs Museum of Art

Discovering the Coral Springs Museum of Art during a lunch with Tibetan Monks was an enchanting, enlightening and zen-like experience. Honestly, I fell in love with the grounds of the Museum even before I stepped through the doors. The quiet, peaceful garden was filled with installations including star cut outs hanging from a tree and painted stones surrounding a tree, honoring the students lost in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting tragedy. As I walked through the winding path I came upon a sign that read "Silent Walk for Peace" and "Coral Springs International Peace Garden" where I also observed a large pond covered in lily pads.  This was the ideal beginning to a quiet, zen-like event and lunch hosted by Tibetan Monks. It was part of their Sacred Art Tour this year where they created a beautiful mandala and made a wonderful lunch of a variety of steamed dumplings which I was able to experience them hand making. Those were served with a fresh mixed salad and a warm, light, lentil soup.  This once-in-a-lifetime experience is one I won't soon forget. I recommend you visit the beautiful Coral Springs Museum of Art and also finding the schedule of the Sacred Art Tour and making a trip to a city they'll be visiting.
