The Bentley Collection: Bentley's Automobile Luxury Inspires Home Collection

 Story by Josie Gulliksen

Fendi Casa’s new Bentley Collection furniture line is an ideal union of luxury brands. The Luxury Living Group created the line incorporating the identical wood, leather and colors used in the luxury cars.

The Luxury Living Group was first approached by Bentley in January 2013. They were looking to create a lifestyle around their brand and they knew Fendi Casa’s craftsmanship is equal to their cars. Their legend dates back 100 years and the customers buying Bentleys always have beautiful homes. It was the perfect match.Alberto Vignatelli, CEO and Chairman of the Luxury Living Group said “we accepted with enthusiasm the challenge of interpreting in furnishings the exclusivity and charm of Bentley.”In the Bentley Home collection he feels, there co-exist a passion for details, care of materials and a style that anticipates the trends while remaining true to the codes of elegance and tradition. Because of this, the collection is attracting international acclaim. The craftsmanship and look of the pieces in the collection are similar to Bentley’s because at the beginning they used the code of the brand, incorporating the same quilting. Also, the frame of each piece in the collection can be all in wood, leather or quilted leather.Initially they unveiled pieces for the bedroom, living room and dining rooms and then moved on to office furniture and are currently concentrating more on the office furnishings. Those first pieces were presented in Milano in April 2013 because the public was anxious and so Mr. Vignatelli and his team felt they couldn’t wait until their planned debut in January 2014 in Paris. So in the fall, they presented two sofa models and the leather top dining room table and chairs and immediately sold more than 500 pieces.Normally, they present three collections a year and always feature new products, new materials, new colors and each is a full implementation of their collection.Their January presentation at the prestigious Maison & Object Fair in Paris featured their extensive collection, which included the Minster Sofa with subtle proportions on the arms and a unique curve that is available in leather or fabric. Additionally they showcased an ivory leather butterfly sofa with deep plush seat quilted with Bentley’s iconic diamond pattern and an armchair in pinstriped fabric quilted in fine grey wool.Other highlights in the collection include the grand Richmond Bed featuring a unique elegant double shell covered in quilted leather or briar root and a headboard lined with iridescent sand-colored satin wool, finished with a finely embroidered Bentley logo. The Ambassador Sideboard with its modern, architectural lines and steel gun-metal structure complements the container module available in lava-colored leather, briar root or Ebony Macassar veneering. And the Harlow Armchair reinterprets the film director’s chair with a steel gun-metal base, a cognac-colored leather seat with interior tufting and metal buckles and leather bands on the armrests to add a masculine touch.Next up for the Bentley Collection in September 2014 is the unveiling of a new model table and chairs, sofa, small armchair and coffee table. There will also be a chest of drawers, a bed, chaise lounge and an additional armchair.Certainly fans of Fendi Casa and this new collection will be anxiously awaiting what’s to come in 2015.
