Lung Yai Thai Tapas is latest food truck addition at The Wharf

Who would've thought the Miami River would be the hot spot to sit idly by and watch boats and yachts go by while enjoying top-notch food and cocktails. That day happened a while ago and The Wharf Miami is one of the spots to do that idling.

And while you're idling you might as well eat so how about noshing on Thai Tapas. No one better than Lung Yai to serve those up since they're so popular at their brick and mortar in Little Havana, where it's very hard to get a seat. Oh and ordering there can be let's say, somewhat of a challenge.

The view at The Wharf is so much better though and it's the same amazing food. Next time (or when you get around to) checking out their food truck at The Wharf definitely try...

Chicken wings

Egg rolls and a watermelon mojito

Bite sized fried dumplings

The chicken wings marinated Thai style in the Chef's special sauce. You'll pop them like candy, they're so good. You'll do the same with the adorable bite sized crispy dumplings filled with shrimp or pork and served with a soy vinaigrette. Yet another choice are the crispy spring rolls, crunchy and light, filled with lots of veggies and perfect for dipping in their plucky plum sauce.

Pad Thai

For something a little heartier, go for the Pad Thai. Yes, it's the standard but it's a delicious one. Made with rice noodles, dried shrimp, peanuts, bean sprouts and scallions in a tangy tamarind sauce.

Pitcher of watermelon mojito

Wash this all down with a refreshing watermelon mojito or a few, since they're served by the glass or pitcher.

The food trucks are open Thursday-Sunday, so make sure to visit Lung Thai for your Asian-inspired tapas fix.
