Family-run Ankarr Pastry Shop keeping customers happy serving freshest food and pastries

By Josie GulliksenThe Arredondo brothers know that to run a successful business it takes plenty of love and care and so together with their wives, they’re achieving that at Ankarr Pastry Shop in K... Kendall, which they’ve owned for more than six years. This quaint and European-inspired spot is at the heart of a major intersection along North Kendall Drive and this unique location makes it an easy stop for locals in the area. They love coming here to pick up their favorite pastries, sandwiches and daily specials.Everything is made fresh on premises and it shows as the wives Barbara and Daysel run things behind the counter here and they have legions of fans. This is the only place customers come to for catering needs for parties and celebrations. It’s that family atmosphere that they love and also knowing they’re getting the best quality food around.By combining Spanish and Cuban food they’re pleasing a cross-section of people who come here for incredible desserts, Spanish tortillas, baguette sandwiches filled with prosciutto or chorizo and ham, delectable traditional Cuban croquettes filled with both ham and prosciutto. The variety is endless. The catering prices are incredibly reasonable and the variety of items and combinations available is immense. And these items are available for eating in as well.
