Chef's heating it up in the most unlikeliest of places

If you've lived in Miami for a while or are that rarity, a NATIVE like me, and love to read, chances are Books & Books is a place you've visited oh...once or twice maybe. However, one thing that doesn't come to mind when thinking of this place is gourmet food but that's just what Chef Bernie Matz is dishing out at the Lincoln Road location on Miami Beach.I had the pleasure of interviewing Chef Matz a while back for a write up on the Cafe at Books & Books and realized that he treats this place like a full-on restaurant. It was owner Mitchell Kaplan who first approached him about the venture at where else but a book-signing Matz was having for his latest cookbook. The idea was brilliant, it's a match made in heaven.The food here is healthy and gourmet all the way and the setting is phenomenal, right on Lincoln Road. It was such a great experience to sit down with this accomplished, talented Chef and learn about his passion for cooking and re-inventing dishes.I recommend Cafe at Books & Books to anyone who wants to catch up on the latest best-seller while enjoying a fantastic meal.
