Now it's time for a real scare. Get your spook on at any one of these real-life ghost crawling hotspots.

Biltmore Hotel

Although this historic grand hotel dating back to the '20s is known for stellar golf and a massive Sunday brunch, it doesn’t shy from its violent past. During the Biltmore's Prohibition speakeasy days, owner Ed Wilson shot his partner Fatty on the 13th floor, where apparently the two ghosts still lurk today — and still don't get along.

1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables (305-445-1926).

Coral Castle

It’s a hike down south (practically to the Keys), but it’s worth a visit to witness the giant stone sculptures built by a love-struck guy named Ed Leedskalnin. And while the functioning stone rocking chairs are cool, don’t be fooled. This site has been known to be haunted by his spirit, crying out for his jailbait ex-fiance who was only 16 years old when she cancelled their wedding.

Sun-Thu 8a-6p, Fri-Sat 8a-8p. Coral Castle, 28655 S. Dixie Hwy., Miami (305-248-6345). $15.

City of Miami Cemetery

A place storing souls six feet under is freaky on its own, but buried amongst Miami’s elite historic bunch (such as Julia Tuttle) is Carrie B. Miller, housed in a shed-sized, utilitarian-looking concrete box. Learn how her husband took her dead body to the cemetery, wrapped her in a sheet and had her entombed in a block of concrete six feet tall during this tour of the dead.

Fri Oct. 26 8-10p. Dr. Paul George City of Miami Cemetery Tour, 1800 NE 2 Ave., Downtown Miami (305-375-1492). $25 and $35.
