The Wynwood Yard: Although Wynwood is all about the hipster scene and street art, they’re also getting into the Irish spirit this year. Aptly named the Miami Leprecrawl, The Wynwood Yard hosts revelers in a walk to at least seven of the area’s best known restaurants and bars to sample local craft-beer. March 12, noon-10 pm. Fadó Irish Pub: One of the Brickell area’s longest standing pubs, Fadó Irish Pub, located inside the open-air Mary Brickell Village mall, is the party in Downtown Miami. This year they’re dubbing their fest "Paddy Hard." Two DJs will spin tunes while you enjoy Irish-inspired food and drink specials. March 17, 5 pm-midnight. Tickets $10. 900 S. Miami Ave., Miami. John Martin’s Irish Pub: In the heart of Downtown Coral Gables, the party at John Martin’s is so legendary that in the past the city has closed the surrounding streets off to traffic. Mike’s at Venetia: For a more subdued Irish party head to Mike’s at Venetia. The ninth floor poolside spot offers killer bayfront views and specials on corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie, lamb stew and green beer. Don a green hat and snag other party favors to keep the mood festive. March 17, 11 am-3 am. 555 NE 15th St., Miami.Scully’s Tavern: This South Miami standout Scully's Tavern was featured on Food Network’s “Diners Drive-Ins & Dives” and for good reason. They’re serving up gourmet grub in a pub atmosphere. For St. Patty’s Day expect Irish stew and corned beef and cabbage when they open. Later, the green beer will be poured and the Mojo Scoundrels will perform under the tent outside. They always host their party on March 17 and this year rock bands The Cool Old Dudes and The X Eyes perform. Nosh on corned beef sandwiches and drink up the green beer. Mickey Byrne’s Irish Pub: Mickey Byrne's Irish Pub is in the heart of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Hollywood. Pipe & Drum Bands perform as does the U2 tribute band UV who open for headlining act Emish. The family affair also features a Kids’ Zone and of course, Irish food and drinks for sale. March 13, noon to 6 pm with the parade at 1 pm. 1921 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood. The Field Irish Pub & Eatery: The lineup of bands at this Dania pub is enough to keep the day-long celebration going strong until closing. The Field Irish Pub is dropping the prices on Irish brew favorites and traditional fare. Performing on two stages under big outdoor tents are Celtic Bridge with Ada Peever, Drake School Irish Dancers, cloggers and bagpipers, Roisin Dillon and John Schreiber. (Courtesy The Field Pub & Eatery)Maguire’s Hill 16: This traditional Irish pub near Downtown Fort Lauderdale is hosting a big all-day St. Patrick’s Day party “Under the Giant Tent.” Known as one of the oldest pubs in the area, Maguire's Hill 16's St. Patrick's Day Festival includes bagpipers, step dancers and live bands playing traditional Irish, blues, jazz and contemporary music. March 17, breakfast starts at 8 am and live music at noon. 535 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Waxy O’ Connor’s: Billed as a modern Irish bar Waxy O'Connor's is a more upscale pub located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale. They’re having an all-out Irish bash on St. Patrick’s Day starting off with a full Irish breakfast. The party continues throughout the day with plenty of Guinness and other favorite Irish brews and live music. 9 am to close. 1095 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale.
