Transit Lounge: Original Sounds & Miami’s Best Lounge

Cruise by too fast and the entrance to this Downtown Miami spot may blaze by. Transit Lounge, where the live music is huge, is just a small door with its two-word name above it. But enter through the doors and you’re welcome into the voted Best Lounge in Miami.It’s amazing that the place has no cover charge with the kind of groups that perform there, like Conjunto Progreso and Suenalo. These two bands have perfected an original sound that fuses Latin and afro-Caribbean rhythms with guitar and plenty of percussion. The crowds at Transit get into the sounds, which can be enjoyed live inside, while shooting a game of pool. There’s also seating around the main indoor bar and outside in the open-air patio, which also provides a great view of the Magic City’s killer skyline.
