Red Light: A taste of N’oleans in heart of Miami

The buzz around young chef, make that James Beard-nominated young chef Kris Wessel, and his intimate 90-seat indoor/outdoor Red Light Little River restaurant is non-stop and it’s due to the New Orleans native’s way around the kitchen and the delectable seafood-filled menu he prepares.Oyster stew, blue crab & lobster bisque and seafood gumbo as soup selections give just a taste of what’s to come on the rest of the menu.  What could be more bayou than citrus steamed mussels, green tomatoes and crisp plantain chips  or fish creole, lime zucchini and scallion grits. As for the atmosphere, it’s unbeatable with intimate tables inside set among a red moody interior and then descend the stairs for dining al fresco right along the river. It’s the perfect spot for a N’Oleans boy with swamp-filled roots and cajun flavors running through his veins.Red Light is located at 7700 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FLred light
