Have you heard? It's Craft Beer Week through May 20 and that's enough reason to celebrate, and use it as an excuse to cheer up about the damp weather we all had to deal with this past weekend.Miami breweries are gonna be busy all week debuting new brews, making new concoctions and celebrating with wacky contests and great deals. Here's the rundown:The Abbey Brewing CompanyIt doesn't have to be Craft Beer Week for a new release at the Abbey because Owner and Head Brewmaster Ray Rigazio is busy every week of the year brewing up something new. Do yourself a favor, stop in.Biscayne Bay Brewing CompanyThe time to get to here is between 3 and 7 p.m. because through Friday they'll have 50% off their core beers. Saturday there's a Barrel Aged Beer Bash from noon to 1 a.m. with specials on drafts, bottles and growlers, brewery tours and a free beer if you bring in their flyer which is on their social media.Concrete Beach BreweryIt just so happens that Craft Beer Week is also Anniversary Week for Concrete Beach and they're celebrating nightly. Beer releases Tuesday (Stuck on the Palmetto, LOL great name) and Friday (Hasa Luego), a cheese and beer pairing with SFLHops Wednesday, Anniversary Party on Saturday and a Recovery Brunch on Sunday.J Wakefield BrewingTheir Craft Beer Week plan is a Get Rucked Up event at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Vice City Ruckers will meet at the Brewery with their weighted backpacks in tow and cruise the city. And what better place to end than back at J Wakefield for $4 Core beers. Join in for a great workout and trek around the city.Lincoln's Beard Brewery CompanyThese guys like to keep it weird, you know that if you follow them on social media. So, although they have no beer releases yet announced for this week, live music's always a thing here, and crazy contests too. May 20 it's the First Annual Superhero Race from noon to 4 p.m. Don your capes, tights and mask and get ready for weirdness.MIA BreweryIt's a week of takeovers and parties at this Doral brewery. Two new beer releases on Wednesday, a Tampa Tap Takeover on Thursday and $5 core beers from noon to 7 p.m. Friday. Saturday they'll have brewery tours and a Miabock Draft Release Party with DJ Juan Luv. The fun concludes on Sunday with Mario Kart and Bottle Share.The Tank Brewing CompanyThis place is huge and it's worth a visit for not only great beer but good food. Their focus for Craft Beer Week is where to find them around South Florida. Each night it's a different place, including Barracuda, Miller's and Carolina Ale Houses in Miami, Brass Tap in Boynton Beach and World of Beer in Coconut Creek.Veza Sur Brewing CompanyThis place stays busy and usually has nightly events so why change anything during ACBW. Tuesday beers are $3 during Locals Night from 7 p.m. on. Thursday and Friday free brewery tours and live music, Saturday El Gaucho Raucho beer release, a lager with pale malt that was cold smoked for 30 hours with candied bacon from Miami Smokers. Take a moment to envision that, there you go, you can taste it right? And if you haven't been, Sunday it's always Parrillada and Bottomless Micheladas for $15.Wynwood BrewingLa Rubia, oh that La Rubia, it's their signature brew but if you like rum, catch their ACBW Rum Edition happening all week. Their Imperial Milk Stout's been aging in Jamaican rum barrels and is getting tasty treatments like Blue Mountain Jamaican Coffee, Dark and Stormy and Bananas Foster.
