City full of smokers (no, not that kind)
Given that I drive around the city quite often, and to every corner possible it seems, I've discovered areas I'd never been to before. One thing I noticed today and it just struck me out of the blue, are how many smokers (no, not the people) but actual smokers used for cooking I come across during my travels. We spend so much time in Miami checking out the latest trendy restaurant (and I'm including myself here), I think perhaps sometimes we should stop and try something simpler and it doesn't get much simpler than delectable slow roasted meat. The two I remember well, probably because I'm always on those roads, is one along 119th Street in Opa-Locka which I pass whenever I'm going to get on the Gratigny Expressway. Then there's one near my house on West Dixie Highway on my way to NE 119th Street. So, next time I'm feeling adventurous, and in need of what I'm sure will be a finger lickin', lip smackin' smoky and delectable meal, I'll stop off. And of course, there will be a blog to follow describing my experience.Stay tuned...
