Aloft brings boutique, contemporary hotel to Aventura

Attending the grand opening of Aloft Aventura a while back, I was immediately impressed at the boutique, contemporary hotel that had come to an area that desperately needed one. I was drawn to the streamlined, clean-lined lobby, relaxed bar and seating area and lovely pool.

I recently returned to tour the hotel and fell in love with it all over again. I was once again drawn to the lovely infinity pool, where the oversized chess set adds an element of whimsy.

The guest room's open spaces offer comfortable, roomy platform beds with custom duvets and cushiony mattresses. The wall-mounted 55" flat screen televisions feature Netflix and Bluetooth capability while a comfortable desk tucked in the corner is a great place to check e-mail with free WiFi while admiring a nice city view.

And let's talk about the bathroom with walk-in showers that feature rainfall shower heads and custom Bliss Spa amenities. Pure luxury.

General manager Karen Dade and her staff truly care about the guest experience here, evidenced in the attention to detail in the rooms and overall general areas of the hotel.

The lobby is a new open concept with a kiosk for each reservation agent, a nice change from the usual bulky lobby desk. There's also a nice 24/7 pantry Re:fuel by Aloft for a quick grab and go meal, to the left of the reservation area.

And speaking of lobby, it's got a relaxing atmosphere with comfortable lounging area, a billiards table and elegant W XYZ bar where you can have a cocktail and grab a bite from their full menu.

I could certainly see myself having a stay cation at this Aloft. Lounging by the pool with a cool cocktail from the lobby bar where they offer happy hour.

Aloft is just minutes away from the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center where you can take in a show or concert and Aventura Mall or Gulstream Park Racing & Casino for shopping, dining and entertainment.
